Don't Forget the Thanks and Praise

We all talk to God is many different ways. Each person has a unique way of communicating with God and has a different relationship with Him.

No matter how we talk to Him, what are you saying?

It seems like often, we take on a lot in our prayer life. There are always friends, family and even strangers who need our prayers. I don’t know about you, but my prayer lists can get very long.

Praying for others is an amazing thing and one of the best things you can do for them. So while you are praying for the needs of others along with the needs of yourself, are you also praising God for all He has done?

I heard a quote once that I think about daily. It went a little something like this: “What if you woke up tomorrow with only what you thanked God for today?”

While God wants nothing more than to help you and your loved ones, He appreciates a thankful heart full of praise.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:16)

Something I personally try to do when I pray for something and the prayer is answered, I send up a “thank you” prayer.

All of our prayers are heard, whether they are answered or not, but we must do our best to praise the Lord for the things He does for us on a daily basis.

When you pray, don’t forget praise and thanks when you are listing off all of your prayer intentions.
